As a K-F-W literature collector I was only aware of this item through Ray Tomb's 1991 47 page list of known Kaiser Frazer literature. Ray's list is not complete but is the best reference known for K-F items. I was recently able to get this questionnaire for the Kaiser Darrin and it is 24 typed pages of all mechanical specifications on the car. The chassis illustration in the parts book does not show a muffler on the Darrin but the parts book says that it has one included with the tail pipe. This new to me questionnaire states that the Darrin does not have a muffler but is "straight through". It also states that the standard air cleaner is the dry type but that an oil bath type is optional? Apparently Hydramatic was going to be an option at one time as the printing date of this publication is November 2, 1953 and we would have thought that about every thing on the car would have been planned by then. It is interesting reading but does raise some questions.
