Nice color combo. Is that gold a factory color?

I noticed that the ad says it was manufactured by Chrysler......  ::)

A small number of 1952 Virginians came out of the Leaside Ontario plant in December 1951 and 1 final car came out in January 1952 (WARDS 1953 yearbook covering the vehicle industry in calendar 1952).  All later series deluxe models (domestic and export) that were assembled came out of Willow Run.  The gold color may or may not have been a Canada/Export offering as there is no information available on specifics but it is known that certain colors were not offered in the domestic order guides.  You would have to check the body tag under PAINT to be certain.  Just a guess though, I don't think it was factory.

What gives with the '51 type trunk hinges? Is that a Canadian thing too, or am I confused?

The car also has '53 tail light spears attached.

1951 and 1952 Kaisers (including later 1952's) had the outside trunk hinges.  They would be correct for the car.  I would suggest you check the pictures in KFOCI HANDBOOK for information on details.

There were three differences between the late '52 and '53 Kaisers when viewing from the outside:
Hood ornament is different - '52 has a plastic "wing" and tip but the '53 is an all chrome airplane..
The '52 has outside trunk hinges, the '53 does not.
The '53 has the fender "spears" trim on the top of the rear fender and the '52 does not.
This one looks like a '52 which had the '53 fender trim added on the rear.
And, there is a fourth difference - the '53 Manhattan, Dragon and Deluxe have different headlight trim whereas the '52s have simple headlight rings as all other KF products do.
My guess is if you ask the seller, they will say "It's all original."
