25 percent mark-up would be a nice return. I can't tell for sure but it looks like they managed to remove the pre Barret owners painted on initials from the doors.

Green was not an original block color for the 161 F-head Aero but was used on the Darrin.

I thought that was the case......but makes me wonder about the choice to paint this block green. Given that this has mostly been a collector car. I would have chosen to do it in the original color.

I see that the original invoice is included - it notes that the buyer chose to upgrade the tire size to 6.40. I thought all Aeros were equipped with tires that size.

And, I noticed that an air cleaner cost extra - if one didn't opt for it, I wonder what would have been used as standard equipment...

I think that the air cleaner in the photo could of been an option....My Lark had a very small oil bath air cleaner. My Eagle has the same Large filter as in the photo.

I don't think the chrome and stainless was newly done when I saw it in Scottsdale.  Looks like they have done a bit of upgrading.

Here you go. As far as I know this was the stock air cleaner.

Interesting..I've never seen an Aero with the smaller air cleaner. It looks alot like the unit used a early postwar GM trucks.

I can't say for certain that was original to the car, I bought the car from the second owners. In all other respects, it was bone stock.

The 1952 & 1953 Larks came standard with 5.90 X 15 BSW tires. 6.40 X 15 BSW were an upgrade for Larks. Aces & Eagles came standard with 6.40 X 15 BSW and an option was available to upgrade to 6.40 X 15 WSW tires. I believe the customer paid for stuff that came standard. We discussed this issue on the Facebook page.
