Looks to me, if they sell that thing, it will be another red mark to add to their 79.4% feedback!! I'd say a lot more, but it would all show as asterisks!

I am familiar with this car. About 20 years ago it was for sale near me and at the time, the car was unfinished but the door contour as you see it now had been roughed in. The seller said he bought it that way not knowing it was incorrect so he wanted out. The car was complete but mostly disassembled. I recall climbing a ladder to a storage loft where the seller had neatly laid out everything he had for the car. It should be painted Pine Tint but when I looked at it the car had been sanded down to the gel coat revealing quite a few cracks, which - along with the incorrect door arrangement - is what scared me off.

I don't recall the asking price but I do remember that it wasn't much, probably somewhere around three grand.

It's a beautiful color. In looking at the pictures, it seems to have a little bit of a green shade to it??

95K and yet both front turn signal lenses are broken. Make one wonder what else it needs.

It's a survivor. At some point with all the issues it had some 20 years ago, someone could have easily given up on it. I like the contour of the doors. I'll bet it's easier to get in and out of than any of the other Darrins. The front jog in the door is a little weird but probably solved a structural issue with hinging. Car number 88 out of California I think. Steve

From what I can see, it is missing the air dam in the front under the bumper, the contour of the door was added and filled out for some unknown reason.    Then they filled in the contour of the back of the door where it comes in contact with the body.   And NO, this will not make it easier to get in an out of.   Along with the turn signal lens missing, I don't think this "survivor" is worth anything near what they are asking!!!

It's also possible that they installed regular door hinges and door handles and replace the pocket door option from looking at the door handle that doesn't look stock.

Dutch Darrin would be rolling over in his grave!!!

Lots of engine and interior pics. When you open the ad, just scroll down and look at the pictures -- don't click the 'thumbnail' pic at the top left.

If you scroll down the ad, there are 104 pictures! Plenty of the interior, engine, trunk etc. Too many "what were they thinking" items to mention! Or maybe what 'are' they thinking with that asking price! The car did survive but it is certainly NOT a survivor. Someone with a "vision" or too much LSD took away all the "Darrin-ness" from this one decades ago...and then to paint just the outside...GEEZ!!

Although it's been altered...at least it still exists...not a fan, but it is interesting. Here's a video...at about the 1:30 mark it shows the doors open and gets the rest...

Thanks for the video, it's even more depressing after watching it.   The engine smokes, nothing else is done other than paint and interior.  The gauges are rusted, it doesn't seem to have a top, spare tire, jack etc.   They didn't even mask off the engine when they threw undercoating on and it is all over the generator.   Only one emblem and no names.   etc. etc. etc.   Again, they are asking a lot for it.
