Gas Tanks
« on: September 20, 2017, 08:27:41 PM »
Anyone needing a 1951-55 Kaiser Gas tank should contact Adam Harder.  He had one at the Midwest meet and was taking orders.  The one he brought to the meet looked good.

POSTING FOR ADAM ...

The MFG Fund is gearing up to run our very first production run of 1951-55 Kaiser Gas Tanks.

I  received a prototype and haves fit it in a car to verify fit and finish.  These new tanks are going to be beautiful. They are made from galvanized steel and coated on the outside in a silver finish. They match the original shape, size, and look of the tank including the drain on the bottom.

To move forward on this project WE NEED YOUR HELP!  We are looking for pre-orders before we move forward on production.  The upfront cost of tooling and production is huge and pre-sales will help offset our cost. We will NOT move forward with the production until we have enough pre-sales, so please, if you need one or two ORDER NOW!

Here's what you’re getting: A guaranteed fixed price of $345 per tank (Shipping not included).  This will help offset the cost of production allowing us enough money to move forward. It will also help us with what our cost of shipping is before we list them in the bulletin. The target price for these will be around $400 and then whatever shipping will be, so if you order now you’re saving yourself that added cost when they do come out.

PLEASE help us get these to the market place sooner rather than later. Once the production starts the pre-order sale price of $345 is no longer available

How to pre order:
Send a deposit of $100.00 to the Mfg Fund by filling out the special order form attached here (also to be included in the October eBulletin) or use the printed version in the August/September/October issue and write “Pre-Order” in the line on the top that says “Coming Soon 51-55 Kaiser Gas Tank” and enter $100 for the price.  Please include your address of where you want the tank shipped, a phone number and an email address. I will email you a confirmation of your deposit when I receive it. We will hold your money until we have enough orders to move forward on production.  Once we receive your order and we have enough to move forward we will contact you when the tanks come in to arrange payment of the $245.00 balance due and shipping cost (?)

If you have any questions feel free to contact Adam Harder, Mfg Fund Manager

This is a perhaps one time opportunity to have a NOS rare part made for our cars.  Because of the expensive tooling costs the club needs your deposit to get things started.  We can not afford to have a large supply of these made so if you think that you want one get your deposit in and be guaranteed to get one.  Remember all of the people that did not get in on the '51-'55 steering wheels when they had a chance and now they are very much in demand again.  Thanks Adam for making this possible.

Several (at different angles) will be in the NOV issue of the Bulletin. Another good reason to join the club if you're not currently a member.
