161F engine
« on: November 02, 2017, 08:02:15 AM »
Hello

I bought a jeep the has the 161f engine in it, jeep people know little about it.  It seems the it more a Kaiser engine then anything else.

So my question is what carburetor goes on it.  I can seem to find any info on it.

The Willys f-head six was used in the Jeepster as well as the light duty pickup trucks and possibly the station wagon as well. So, there's a chance it is the right engine. It would not have been used in any of the Cjs.

If it was in a Kaiser, then that would be a Darrin and the correct carb is the 2094S. I have been told that when in a Willys either the 824S or the 2071S is correct, but I do not know that for sure.

924s is one of the 2 correct ones in the Willys with the 161 F-head
