New clips for side trim
« on: May 06, 2018, 09:48:18 PM »
Has anyone had any luck finding new clips to attach the side trim to an Aero?
I will be looking for the side trim clips and the trim clips for under the windows.
I know the old clips I have on my '53 Eagle are rusty and probably can't be made to work again.
Thanks in advance.

Restoration Specialties 2016 catalog (still the current version)

Page 138  #2444 seems to be the original clip but I didn’t like how they fit so
I sent in a section of trim.
RS sent back samples, wire clip B1108 (pg 127) & moulding bolt 2789 (pg 133)

I opted for the 2789’s for all the ones I could reach from behind, & used the B1108’s for the few I couldn’t.
To replace the original bolts at the trim ends I used “trim to fit” moulding bolt 2356 (pg 134).

Never searched for the window trim clips, my Lark doesn't have that.

MarkH...
I could not have asked for a better answer.
It will be a while before I get to that stage of restoration but I am anxious and will search them for the other clips I need.
If I have to send them a sample trim, I will and post the results here.
This is a great site!
Thanks again for the lead.
