What is a fair price to pay for new chromed scripts, all 3, hood, trunk, glove box?

Those are rarely available and are badly needed parts as well as the Allstate scripts.  Scripts are available for Fords and Chevrolet's for reasonable prices so they must not cost too much to make.  Who can make them for us?.  I have good samples of the Allstate scripts.

Why not ask the man who knows best?  Talk to Adam Harder about costs, etc.  He's head of the manufacturing fund.

Meantime, there are still available chrome fendcer scripts that can be re-chromed.

We have asked the manufacturing fund for years about ideas for new parts and have never received a response from them on the forum  Most needed items get made by members who have the know how.  The fund does a great job on items that they have made.

Adam Harder does not normally look at the forum.  His email and phone number is available on the order forms that are printed in different issues of the Bulletin.

I was not referring to reproduction parts.
Let me restate...

What is a fair price to pay for original Henry J scripts, all 3, that have been rechromed--show quality?

I can't speak directly to the question but can share info that might give some perspective.

I had a fairly nice "AeroLark" script rechromed that had less than the usual amount of pitting. Really nice job, $126 including shipping. I paid $100 for a pair of NOS "Willys" fender scripts and have seen them go for more.

It's almost a given that anything rechromed will be better quality (& looking) than NOS.

Remember that 1951-1953 model year (or made during that time period) were made with "wartimne chrome" plating because of Korean War needs.  This is why K-F cars came with an item in the car's owner packet (owner manual, etc) about special care of the chrome on the car.  They skipped a couple steps in the plating process including copper strike/copper buff stages.  It was not as good as the peacetime product.

Best guideline on pricing for top quality replate is to price some work yourself to see what it would cost for you to have something rechromed. & use the figures as a price guide when you see something really good come up for sale.

If the Manufacturing Fund does not have any interest in the ten years of forum messages from members it would be a disservice to those members  to keep that part of the forum active.  Is there any reason that we should continue it?

Terry,  I think that you would have to pay $50.00 to $100 00 each for perfect Henry J scripts.  I would be happy to find Allstate scripts for that price.
