Hurricane 6 decal
« on: August 07, 2010, 09:41:01 PM »
Where, on a Darrin valve cover, should the 'Hurricane 6' decal be placed? I thought I had a photo of an original decal on one, but cannot find the photo at the moment. I'd like to make sure that mine ends up in the right place.

Check with Rick Kaman . He had the actual vave cover the decal was made from and it was still in place .

Thanks,

If you go to page 1 of "darrin 145 hits the streets", you'll see an engine compartment photo where the decal is visible on the right side of the valve cover, below the oil fill cap about 1/2" above the "lip" of the cover. That's where the original decal was.

Gary.

Oops...I meant to reply earlier...the post above is correct. It's mounted on the passenger side of the valve cover, just below the filler.

I will try to remember to take a pic of the original valve cover that the decal was made from and post it. Someone call me at home tonite and remind me...
