1953 Kaiser power steering repair
« on: July 10, 2020, 12:24:25 PM »
Hi,
The power steering ram is leaking and I need to get it rebuilt or replaced.  Does anyone have a resource in the club?  Thanks,  Jim

There isn't any information on the power steering ram repair that I can find.   If Monroe manufactured the ram for Kaiser, has anyone already contacted them for parts?  Thanks

Kaiser-Frazer's power steering manual may not apply to retrofitted units (I am t hinking of the late 1950's AMC type).  Is what you are working with the Monroe type used by Kaiser-Frazer or a type that some prior owner put on the car?

Hi,
the leaky power steering is on a '53 Dragon so it's stock.  I sent a copy of the manual to the mechanic so I'll see what results.    Thanks again.
