We are in Chicago and have a 54 Manhattan.  We lost our mechanic and are looking for local service near Riverside who knows what a Kaiser is.  Any help?

While they are becoming fewer and harder to find, look for a mech who specializes in older cars.  If he can work on a flathead chevy or ford, he can work on your kaiser.  Just be sure to lend him your shop manual when you have him do some work for you.  If/when you find one, check on his bonafides...BBB, online reviews, etc.  Ask if he can provide customer references.  If he can, chances are he's the real deal and not some fly by night...

I am assuming that you are a member of the Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club International (KFOCI).  As a member of the KFOCI you'd have access to various resources that could help.  I would suggest you check your membership roster (the 2022 edition went out back in June) and contact either Jerry Johnson or John Buchinger for ideas on where to get servicing for your 1954 Manhattan in your area.  Being a member of the Forum does NOT make you a member of the car club.
