Annual Convention
« on: January 31, 2014, 07:23:52 AM »
Hi all,

I am hoping to get to Puyallup from Australia for this years convention.

I went to the Studebaker Convention at South Bend a couple of years ago and loved it.

There was a swap meet run every day which was great and I was hoping something
similar happens at the Kaiser Frazer Convention aswell.

Obviously it is near impossible to find parts here and I don't search E-bay often enough so
I miss out on the rarer desirable items.

Anyway it will be great to see all the fantastic cars and meet some new people when I get over there.

By the way, I bought a 1953 Kaiser Manhattan 2 door on my last trip.

Love it...... ;D

Mal.

It cannot be guaranteed, Mal, but we usually do have several vendors at the National.  Many parts are available, but if you contact one of those listed in the monthly bulletin who advertise and let them know what you want, I'm sure they can have it at the meet.  Many of our members can help out also with part needs and maybe bring  the parts to the meet to inspect.  I prefer checking out what I want in person rather than rely on the mail, which has also become expensive.
We would love to have you visit the National in Puyallup this year!  Let me or Jim Betts know if there is anything we can do to help you out.

If you read KFOCI MONTHLY BULLETIN you will see a daily schedule.  Swap meet vendors are present at National Conventions and Divisional Meets; who shows up and what they bring varies along with what day(s) they are there.  This year for the first time, the  service and some of the sales film strips will be presented (that's the service clinic thing).  There may also be some other neat things happening depending on who can get there and what day(s).

At the 2014 KFOCI Convention the Hospitality Room is going to have four Dealership Department Displays setup.  Sales, Parts, Service and Finance.

Here are two pieces for display in the Finance Department.  Thought I would share.

We made up some K-F Dealership Signs to sell at the National!
I think you will like them.
They are two sided and have a flange to mount them with.

Nine inches high and 16 inches wide.
Size must matter?
Had to fit in suitcase.
Been a fun project.
As far as I am aware this sign has never been reproduced in any size.
We have three versions - One sided ones, two sided ones and two sided ones with a flange.

Please register as soon as possible. The meet hosts need to know how many people are attending each function so they can plan accordingly. Drop-in registrations are always welcome but knowing ahead of time who's attending helps make the meet more enjoyable for all.
