I hate to hear about good parts thrown away . How about donating them to the club to be auctioned at the National or other local meet ? this would save the parts for someone who needs them and would help pay expenses for the meet . These parts are not being made anymore and when gone will not be replaced .

That's a great Idea!  Our club parts auction needs donations and if you could give them to a local member who is going to the meet they could be transported to the National Meet and people who really need them will be happy to bid for them.  Meets are very expensive to put on and a little income helps in a big way.

At the National and at our regional events we have a silent auction to raise money for the club.  Small, inexpensive, unwanted, used parts, and even the best ones are welcome as items to help out the club!  One man's (or woman's) trash is another's treasure, as they say.  I for one would rather see and feel the parts I want to buy before I buy them to ensure they are the correct ones.  Many people are probably the same in that mail order is not the way they want to buy their parts.  Anyway, I've donated a few to the club that I didn't need or that were better in someone else's hands, such as a non-working radio.

If someone local wanted to pick up the items I would donate them, however I am not going to cover shipping them, as it is expensive to ship out of Canada. I do not see any other K/F members in the Ottawa area, Henry.

Brian, I sent you an email on the 26th. You did not provide me with your zip so I could not get a quote, Henry.
