If you've seen the September Bulletin, then you know Mike Barker, our calendar editor for the last 30 years has decided to step down. Citing his winter move to Florida and the inability to find quality services nearby, he's retiring as editor. So, I'm looking for someone...or a group of folks...to step forward and fill the role.
You'll be asked to assemble a 12 month calendar using Kaiser-Frazer-Willys and/or the club as the theme. Mike tended to lean towards featuring member vehicles in his productions, but the editor would have the latitude to think out of the box. A few ideas include featuring old dealership buildings, (maybe how they looked back in the day and and how they appear today), scenes from meets past, or perhaps a few months on the accessories KF offered. Or, continue with Mike's success and feature members and their vehicles.
This is an appointed position (by me) that allows the editor to be a non-voting adviser to the board of directors. You'll have a budget to work with and if it helps, the club office will work with you to find a print/mail vendor to that end of things.
Mike enjoyed his work and really did not want to give it up, but he decided it was time. I'm sure you'll agree it was a job well done!
Please contact me directly if you are interested, or would like more details before making a decision. There's no harm...or obligation...in asking!
Thanks
