Another new member
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:49:23 PM »
Hi all,

I recently bought my 1st Frazer and joined the club.  A 1951 Vagabond, White over Cardinal.  I have begun a frame off restoration, so the body is in one bay of my garage and the frame is in another.  I have the frame mostly stripped in preparation of sandblasting.
I cannot believe the amount of gunk and rocks I've had to dig out of and off of the frame.
In removing the head from the 226, 7 bolts broke off at the block that I'm going to have to drill.

I'm going to need quite a few parts and a lot of advice from you veterans.

So...  Hi to all   :D

Paint code 110.  Trim 5155.  I know the paint code is Cardinal.  I'd really like to find out what the trim code indicates.

No listing for that paint code in my reference. The model should be 515 for 51 Vag and the body should be 5 for Vag. There is a listing for trim code 5551 cardinal pleated vinyl.

Duh.  I'm being dyslexic (again).  5551 is the correct trim.  And that is what's on the seats.  Unfortunately, they are aged beyond use.  Not sure if I'll put the original back in or make it a 2 tone vinyl/cloth.  But I will stick with the Cardinal color as the primary.  Vinyl, or leather for that matter, get pretty hot in Arizona.
