My Allstate sold.
« on: July 20, 2016, 12:15:05 AM »
The six cyl. Allstate that I had advertised for $3,500 in the Bulletin sold at the meet in Springfield not to a KFOCI member but to a street rodder.  It will be restored but we will never see it at a KF meet and it is too bad to lose another rare Allstate.  I wonder how many are left?  There were about ten at the meet near Chicago several years ago.  That was an anniversary for Sears and the Allstate turn-out for them  was great.  We may never see that many at one time again.

I was surprised that the car didn't sell to a club member. While in pieces, the car was essentially complete and just needed put back together. I know the engine is going to a club member who owns an Allstate so that much of the car will live on.
