1951 Frazer Manhattan in Whittier, CA
« on: January 10, 2015, 11:56:59 PM »
I thought I would share this with you guys.

This 51 Frazer is here in Whittier, CA.  It is about a mile from my house.  It has been in a driveway for years, and recently it has been moved closer to the street.  I attempted talking to the guy several years ago and he is not very talkative.   I have tried again for the last few days and can never find anyone home.   You would almost think his house is vacant.

All my car buddies keep telling me about the Frazer in his driveway, and I have just about given up in trying to talk to the guy.

The VIN # on the registration is F1006099.  I have no other info on the car.  I guess the next step would be to send him a letter since he never comes to the door.  Then again, wife won't be too happy if I bring home another car.  Here are the pictures I took yesterday.

I noticed rocker panel moldings missing both sides but overall doesn't look too bad from the photos.  Also see 2015 license tag sticker on it.

There was one that color combination on ebay about 7-8 years ago that we had bid on but it ended up going to Canada.

Terry Zeug told me at one time that the guy bought the rocker panels from him and a lot other parts.  I see a weathered shipping box from Rudy on back seat.
I will just keep trying to contact him and see what his plans are for the car.

Make sure when you visit you're DRIVING a K/F product.    If he has any K/F blood flowing in his veins he'll
be much more apt to converse.    If he still doesn't warm up then he's probably just another miserable old fart !!!!
( Of which I am one !! )

Maybe a note on his windshield would get his attention.

Wow, that car is an identical twin to my first KF car that I bought from Harvey Hedge****** in about 1997.  Cape Verde Green over Ceramic Green with black interior!  Sold my car in about '05 and it went to Canada.  Any chance that's my old car?  Mine had all the brightwork in place when I sold it and a KF spotlight on the left A-pillar.

Edit:  No hole for spotlight, and my rims were Ceramic green, but my god that car looks really, really similar.  Same patina and sheen.  Info on my old car from the registry:

Hi Dave, William in Whittier here.
I received a package from one of our suppliers a few years back for him, I met the guy,
kind of a different type. It was morning and he was drinking some wine...For starters... He showed me around,
( I was careful...lol ) It looked like he liked cars, not just Frazers. He had a stack of eBay parts
he bought, still in the shipping packaging. Would not surprise me if he's no longer with us.

Wow, not just any Frazer......a hardtop!   :)

Now that this thread is active again, maybe BigDave will update us on the status of the car......whether it is still there, or has disappeared.
