Still looking for the Bulletin Text itself

You make the call on length.

The actual Parts & Accessory bulletin gives no information on length and mine are in storage down in the basement of the house in KY; all my parts are down there.

Best guess from the picture (and assuming the picture is of the MOPAR version) is that both the K-F and Chrysler accessory are the same.

The bulletin text was published on the back cover of the Winter 1969 KFOC Quarterly. Here it is, in blue

I was wondering why the copy AZ HJ sent me was blue.  Being on the back cover of an old quarterly would explain it. THANKS for solving the mystery.

I was thinking would it be possible to make psuede KF Wire Wheel Covers by taking a 15" Chrysler LeBaron '79-81 Wire Wheel Covers* and adding (bonding) a Chrysler Imperial Style Wire Cap** on it?

I would think you may need to adjust the clips that hold the cover to the rim to make this work.

* Source: http://www.hubcaps.org/lebaron.html   $75.00 each

**Source: http://store.cokertire.com/chrysler-imperial-wire-knockoff-cap.html   $40.00 each

I like to hear anyones thoughts on this idea!

Although these wire spoke hub caps were a genuine K-F accessory they were made to be sold for other cars too and you see them from time to time on eBay or at swap meets.  Keep looking and you will run across them.  Although they will fit all K-F cars they are only proper for 1953 and newer.

The Parts & Accessory Bulleting says "May be attached to all 1951-52 and '53 Kaiser and Henry J Models".

Why would you say they are only proper on 1953 or newer?

Because they were not made until 1953.  They are not correct for anything earlier just like Continental kits are not correct for 1951 Kaisers even though the brochure said they will fit 1951.  You can put anything you want on your car but expect to be dinged when it comes to authenticity and judging.  Other examples are 1949 hood ornaments on earlier cars even though the factory and parts department sold them for the earlier cars and two toning 1951 cars other than Dragon equipped cars is not correct and  not done by the factory.  If in doubt use the date the accessory was released or changed as a safe date for installing them on your car.  This is important only for judging.

If these accessories were installed at the factory - I might agree with you.  But, as Kaiser supplied them to dealers for after-the-sale installation - I think they are perfectly fine for for 1951 Kaisers or 1951 Henry Js.  What do others think??

I thought the current judging standards require that you do not judge KF accessories! You would not gain or loose points for any KF accessories. I would think that would include all KF accessories that were available at the time your car was produce and any offered there after (retrofit). If I understand it correctly you could only be judge points off for Non-KF Items, including non-KF accessories.

Please note that I am a KF accessory GEEK and work very hard to find and restore all the KF approved accessories that I can for my 1952 Henry J Vagabond Deluxe.

Best,

Mark
