It's a '47 Custom - a rare car.  I never saw one without the rocker trim which was used on the Frazer standard.  That was a feature on the Custom, Frazer upholstery and rocker trim and few other upgrades.  The car does appear to be original. I wonder if the earliest '47 Customs did not have the rocker trim?

If you look closely at the picture of the right front fender, you can see the chrome rocker trim. The rest of the trim is missing.

Good eye!

Yes, it did have the rocker trim originally then.  This is a rare bird indeed.  I doubt it will fetch that price but it is a desirable car.

Early advertising photos for the Custom do show the rocker panel moldings and white wall tires.  There are no photos of the interior of this car so I wonder if it is really a custom?  The Turf Green color looks correct.  I could not see any holes in the rocker panels where the clips would have been installed for the moldings.
