Wanted - Running 226 engine

I'm looking for a running 226 engine for my 54 Manhattan. The car has a hydramatic transmission so the engine I'm looking for must fit the same. I'd like to find an engine that needs nothing done to it internally...I'm Ok with it needing a good cleaning and paint.

And yes, I am aware of the person selling rebuilt engines in California but for reasons that are my own, I am not interested.

So, if you or someone you know is turning their Kaiser into a resto-mod and they have a running engine available, send them my way!

I have found three rebuilt continental motors in Weirton,WV. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will send you the man's phone number. He said if he doesn't get rid of them soon, he will have to scrap them. He also said they were rebuilt about 16 years ago and were never used since.

They are industrial motors out of mill so don't know years.  They were set up to run separate with radiators.  You would have to negotiate price with seller.  He mentioned around 600. for all three  to me.  You would have to research to see the differences from the Kaiser motors and the Industrial motors Continental produced.

Does anyone know how to do this research?  Can these engines be used in the Kaiser cars?

Continental industrial engines were designed to give peak torque at a different RPM than an automobile engine and consequently would not make good candidates for use in a car.

In the early seventies I had 160 CFM Joy air compressor that had a 226 engine in it.
