An .060 overbore on one of these engines is just about its limit. Any more and overheating will be a problem. Been there and done that.

I'm guessing he's farming some work out, then adding a nice premium to his costs.

I'm right around $4200 for a 161 F-head rebuild, parts & machine shop work with assembly. Very similar parts list and also all new valves, rebuilt oil pump & rocker arm assembly. Machine shop was almost $2400. Dumb lucked onto a guy that worked at a shop years ago that did the machine work for the last remaining Willys dealer in this region.

The auction seller also lists rebuilt T96 with OD transmissions fairly regularly for $1500
