Kaiser ran lots of different companies.  Kaiser Industries, Kaiser Aluminum, Kaiser Steel, Kaiser-Frazer Corporation and on and on.  If you worked for any of them for 5 Years you would get a years of service pin. Pins were issued at many different years 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 ... 40.

Don’t Forget the Kaiser Insurance. I knew a Man in his 80’s would go to Calif. for Free medical for Life.
He worked for Kaiser building the Cement Ships..

Part of an estate buy included these two small medallions. They're about 2" wide by 3" tall and have a threaded stud on the bottom. One side has the K shown and the reverse is the Frazer coat of arms. They're pot metal and were well done. I've never seen another and would like to know if anyone else has.

Kaiser-Frazer Corp. was not a wholly owned Kaiser Industry company like most of the others in the construction field,  K-F Corp. issued their own awards and buttons and pins.  "Together we Build" was the slogan for Kaiser Industries and you will not see KFC on any of their service pins but just Kaiser.  Kaiser Industries also had their award at least for the 20 year date on a tie clip. The 5 year pins were in silver color and others seem to be all in gold color.  There were lighters, buttons and pins made for many of the Kaiser Industry companies.  There is certainly a lot to collect if you want to find it all!

To some extent, everyone who owns an old car collects stuff related to them. Some folks have to have it all, while others are happy with perhaps a magazine ad or two, or something that reminds them of the car. Me, I have a little of this and a little of that so I thought I'd start a thread about what we collect - aside from the cars. Are you one those who collects anything related to Kaiser, Frazer or Willys - or just an item or two. Share a few pictures of what you have..I'm sure you'll own something many of us have never seen before!

I'll seed the thread with a picture of some of the cigarette lighters bearing the Kaiser name that were produced. Most are from the construction and materials side of the business, but there is one K-F lighter in the mix.

What do you have?

I don't collect all of the Kaiser Industries lighters but do have a few for K-F Corporation.  The first issued were the Zippos with the narrow Kaiser and Frazer emblems attached to the lighters.  Around 1949 they had the same lighters but with  wider K-F emblems.  A later version of that one had "Built to Better the Best" engraved on the back side.  There is also a version with the emblems engraved instead of being separate attachments.  After Frazer was gone they used a larger Kaiser emblem and there are a couple of variations of that style.  IKA in Argentina had their own version but of a different style.  According to sales aids flyer's there was also a gas powered K-F lighter offered but I have never seen one and don't know if they were really ever available. My Favorite is is a well worn Zippo with a Kaiser Industries emblem attached and the name Edgar F. Kaiser engraved under the emblem.  I found it on eBay and the seller had no idea who Edgar Kaiser was and I just lucked out.

Those were used on the tops of the trophies for the Spring Midwest Meet at Itaska Ill. in 1979.  I have a very attractive trophy I believe won by John Haller for his 1951 Frazer convertible.

I collected vintage cigarette cases for years (have hundreds), then vintage toy boats for a few years, both wood & lithograph tin. Went to LOTS of flea markets and antique & collectable shops, always keeping an eye out for Aero stuff too. Probably have the majority of the most common Aero magazine ads & dealer brochures, and a couple fairly rare items posted here before.

Here's something I haven't posted, a liquid "floaty" pen with a gold plated Aero in it. Engraved & highlighted in red, "Aero Ace", under that "Willys Motors Inc."
Made by Progressive Products Inc.Union N.J.
Those pens are very hard to find. I have a similar one with the same slogan but with a maroon and white Floaty two door and maroon plastic shaft instead of silver like yours.  They also made one with a floating Kaiser.
