The horn ring center is upside down on my 51 Deluxe, I have tried to turn it then pop it out but it's not cooperating...any ideas?

It’s a tight fit and will take some serious pressure to make it turn. Using the palm of your hand seems to work best.

I agree. Push firmly, and turn it.  It will turn - be persistent.

Two people help-one putting full pressure and the other turning. If you have an old canning jar lid remover (with a rubber gasket on the inside) You can just get it over the center, then turn hard while helper presses on the center. A padded large angled pliers works also.

Pg 192 of the 1951 KF Shop Manual says -

"Press down firmly with palm of hand, or Horn Button Remover and Installer KF-101, on the medallion (horn button) in the center of the steering wheel and turn counter-clockwise to loosen the medallion."
