Well, after reading the last several posts (& risk being told see if YOU(me) can do better) I've decided to 'un-bite' my tongue about what I've characterized in the past here as the "red headed stepchild" marque of the club.

First off, the calendar is indeed nicely done and as soon as I get past month of DEC '18 the new one will replace the old one right on the fridge.

I understand calendar photos are taken at meets so variety is often limited, I'm just giving my observation.
Taking stock of only the monthly pages that will be displayed throughout the year, I count 18 large & small Kaiser photos and 3 Kaiser ads, 5 HJ photos and 1 HJ ad, 4 Darrins and 1 Darrin ad, 2 Allstates and 1 Allstate ad, and one small Aero and one small FC photo.

Just sayin...……….

To end this observation on a positive note, the front & rear Traveler shots on the cover jackets are pretty darn neat.

In the past the calendar editor used to ask for photos throughout the year and received very few that were usable for the calendar.  It has only been in the past several years that we have had a fine photographer to do some and then all of the cars at the meet and now we have all of the photos that we need without having to panic at the end of the year because of no new photos.  Regardless of what degree of restoration our cars are in they are all interesting and get admiring looks.  I think that we are doing fine with the calendar.  Thanks for your comments.

bustidwing--Please re-read post#19. I am a Life Member and every year the calendar was published requests were made to submit pictures of your car that were suitable for publication. This became a struggle for the calendar editor to come up with at least 12 (one per month) in time for publication. Some years calendar was not sent out till Jan 15th or so. Remember submission to printer has a time line to assure calendar will be received prior to Jan 1st, that is why Gordie wrote post #19 Not a Mandate just a Fact!!!!

You made a promise!
"okok, I give up lol keep your forum and "scripted posts" and "commercials" to increase club revenues just as it is.  It was and still is working so well, and has been so wildly successful for the few participants before I stopped by, there is really is no reason for change. I apologize to the forum and club members for trying to help, and ill leave you to the old ways. Good luck in the future.....darn, didn't even make full member lol ".
Come on... Man up!

Get physically involved in the club and its operations.  That means going to National Conventions along with Divisional and Regional meets or events.  Talk to actual members (less than 220 members are listed for the forum and much than less than that number actually participate on a consistent basis).  Take several years to get to know the what and why.
