Henry J 161 complete exhaust
« on: April 26, 2020, 03:10:05 PM »
I'm looking for a complete brand new exhaust for the 6 cylinder Henry J. There was a guy on E bay that had them but I havn't seen it for quite a while. Any recommendations are appreciated. The motor is going back in this week and I really need the exhaust.

The ebay seller was Klasskollection and their number is/was 1-800-365-5764 .
I have never purchased one from them but as I recall, others on here did and had good results.

I purchased my Darrin Exhaust System from Waldron's.    It  was well built and fit just right.   Unfortunately, they don't have one for a Henry J., although they might make one up for you.

Klasskollection seems to be only on Facebook.  Maybe they already have one in stock.

Waldron based their current product on the pipes from my car  as well as Hering's car.  Their previous mfg. jigs were incorrect.

I stopped by a custom exhaust shop today. Showed him the diagram of the exhaust and he assured me he could make and install all new pipes and muffler, installed for $297.00. I believe I will give him a try. I'll let everyone know how he did when it's done. I tole him about the 1 and 5/8 pipe and 1 and 1/2 tail pipe and he said no problem.

That is a great price, almost half of the Waldron's price of the ones they stock.  Let us know how it works out!!

I've started to put together a spare exhaust system for the 1952 HJ Barbara and I have.  I don't need it now, but it's always a good thing to have a spare.  That's why I ordered one of the Manufacturing Fund HJ gas tanks and a gas tank float/sender unit.

I also have a bunch of NOS Auto-Lite distributor and other K-F electrical parts that I would like to sawp for their Delco-Remy counterparts as spares our our D-R equipped vehicle.  Auto-Lite or Delco Remy electrics were correct according to various factory service documents for 1952 models.
