Spark plug wires
« on: October 10, 2020, 01:00:59 PM »
My ‘47 Fraser developed a skiplsurge at light throttle again. Checked my maintenance history and spark plugs had not been changed in 4 years. Replaced plugs, no change, in fact a bit worse as it feels to be running on 5 cylinders. Suspect plug wire as I had this problem previously from leaking wires. Can I upgrade to the ‘beehive’ style for later kaisers to combat the leak problem ? If not, where would a good source for plug wires?

I used these guys for a custom set for my Aero. I picked diameter, conductor material and boot types for both ends. Not OEM but top quality modern quality materials.

Check with Larry Barker about wires.  If you want 100% factory correct your plug ends will not have insullating boots on them.

Doesn't our member Carl Herring sell authentic plug wire kits for Kaisers and Frazers?

I have the correct Spark Plug Wire kits for your 1947 Frazer. They are very near like the original.  And yes the Bee Hive wires as used on the 35-55 Kaisers will fit just fine. They just aren't original but work well. Please see the listing in the Monthly Bulletin in the for sale section.  We have these in stock.  We've been making these sets for Kaiser & Willys vehicles for nearly 20 years. Kits are guaranteed.
