The Very First Confidential Bulletin
« on: May 05, 2022, 10:09:01 AM »
Confidential Bulletins were issued in different series (All Dealers, All Direct Dealers, All Dealers and Distributors and All Distributors) to inform dealers and/or distributors things pertaining to car prices, equipment and other information.  There are a number of bulletins issued as "Number 1" between April 1946 and March 1947 while both Kaiser-Frazer and Graham-Paige (during the period April 1946-January 1947 when Graham operated independently of K-F).  So which was the first bulletin?

It now appears that the very first Confidential Bulletin issued by either Graham-Paige Automobile Division or Kaiser-Frazer was G-P's Confidential Bulletin #1 to all dealers and distributors, dated April 10, 1946.  It contained information on initial car colors to be offered, methods of payment and shipment, and how Frazer automobiles would be allocated to dealers and distributors.  Page 1 of the 3 page document is attached.

A story on the document and its content is tentatively scheduled to run in the Fall 2022 QUARTERLY.
