Sagging Leaf Spring Assist
« on: March 19, 2023, 12:53:12 AM »
My 1951 K512 Deluxe had rear air shocks to compensate for the sag for many years. After a air leak developed, I have now removed the air shocks and rent back to normal shocks.  I am debating on getting new rear springs or doing a leaf spring assist like this one.

Has anyone had any luck with these assist kits on our cars?

Sorry do not have helpful info for this, but maybe a little humor. First Kaiser was a '52 Manhattan. Right rear spring broke. Got one rear spring from a parts-yard out of a '51. Got it installed and that side of the rear was higher than the other. Went and got the other spring. Now the rearend was level side to side, but the car leaned forward significantly from back to front! Drove it for another year before selling it.
