Rear Emergency Brake Cable
« on: October 13, 2010, 12:03:49 PM »
Does anyone know if the rear emergency brake cable on the Aero is common with anything else (Jeepster, ...) This is the one that is attached to the wheel backing plates and has a sheath around the cable.

Thanks for the help!

Thye rear brake cables on an Aero are unique to the car. It took me months to find a front cable for my 54 2dr.

I broke one of the spring tangs that seats the cable into the backing plate. I wonder if just that piece would be similar to another vehicle....

Yes, that is a common part...common to the 50s brake cables...the modern version is different. Any old car parts supplier who carries brake hardware should have what you need.
