DARRIN / HENRY J REAR AXLES NEEDED!!!
« on: December 04, 2008, 02:42:58 PM »
It's me again! I still need a pair of rear axles for my Darrin! I thought I found a pair or two, but it's been weeks since I've heard from the vendors. No return phone calls, no emails, no parts! So, if anyone has a pair of new or used axles, please contact me, after all, spring is only four months away! Thanks in advance.

Sorry if my suggested lead on the parts did not pan out.  Another fellow who has/sells a lot of used Henry J parts/stuff is Tex Dean in Claremore, OK.  Tex can be reached at http://henryjpage.homestead.com/Texforsalepage.html

Fid - Tex in Oklahoma was actually quite informative! He didn't have anything at the time though. He suggested using a complete rear end from an S-10, which he says have identical dimensions and bolt right in, but have a different bolt pattern. I have Kelsey Hayes wires on the car and other KH wires that would fit the S-10, but, I would rather just replace the stock axles. I have talked to people in eleven states looking for these things, it's amazing that there aren't any anywhere! On Friday, Nov. 14, I was told by a well known vendor in California that he was going to ship a pair to me that afternoon. That's 3 weeks ago, and I haven't been able to contact him since, and have not seen the parts. I have shipped complete cars to Europe in less time! I guess I'll just keep looking, after all, they say the fun is in the search!

Thanks for the help, Gary.
