CLASSIC CARS ON TV
« on: March 29, 2011, 06:52:46 AM »
There is a PBS special, playing on different cable providers, titled "Classic American Cars in Cuba".  No KF's but an interesting view of modern-day Cuba stuck in the 40's-50's for transportation.  They can't get parts so they need to make everthing, including brake fluid made of shampoo, oil and soap!

I recorded it and watched it about five times ... great show.  Some not so perfect restorations but amazing keep it running skills.  Love the gas stations in the alley and the brake fluid recipe.

A few years ago, a Canadian down in Cuba on vacation got in touch with Fotingo (antique car) enthusiasts (= from "foot in go" from Model T Fords) and took some photos which were published in the Canadian publication "Old Autos"  Two Kaisers were mentioned, and there was a picture of one, a 51? Traveler.
