Fuel gauge sending unit

I replaced the sending unit in my 1954 Kaiser Special with a new one sold as a 1936-55 Ford/Merc unit and it works just fine. It fits the mounting hole and screw pattern perfectly and comes with a nice fat gasket. I bought it on line from Mac's Antique Auto Parts, Lockport, NY. Yes, the sending units for the 1951 up are almost impossible to find.  That is a great tip!  Thanks very much.
