This project was started by people from Minnesota back in 1980. The one-time fund contribution was offset by being able to get items on a cost-plus basis; the money was used to cover some of the manufacturing costs (making tooling and other fixtures, set-up costs, etc) and maintaining of inventories. The operation makes short-run parts that regular reproduction outfits (like Trim Parts) would not run because of limited appeal. It was also a means to get people to join the club and once a member, to renew.
