Our Favorite Frazer at Sweetwater

My wife absolutely loved this 1951 Frazer Manhattan so I shot several images of it and did a little Photoshop work to them.  Enjoy!

That was Lowell Johnson's car and it was beautiful. Benji, you know what to get the wife for Christmas now...

I will add that car was owned for years by the late John Haller here in Minneapolis. When John owned it, it was yellow but the paint code indicates it was originally blue as it is now. John was very proud of that car. He had found an NOS steering wheel for it and that's what was in it when he had it. I think it still is.

What ever happened to John Haller's '49 Kaiser airport limo? Maybe 30 years ago he drove it to California for Hoffman's meet. I have pics of it somewhere.

That limo was sold at the Zimmerman auction 10 years ago. It was purchased by Francis "Fuzzy" Fruzyna of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Fuzzy passed away shortly thereafter. It was in one of the pictures someone posted of one of Lowell Johnson's brat fry get-togethers in 2007 so it's still around. Here's the picture -

The limo is still painted the same colors from when John Haller owned it. Thanx for the pic.

I was Lucky & got My Show All Vinyl Dragon from late John Haller.

Lucky because He had to make room for that Airport Limo.

I wish Our Club would have some way to keep track of the rare one of a kind K.F. Products.
Folks , This is as rare as the Sun Goddess.

Actually, the Sun Goddess is one - off. If I remember correctly, two airport limos were built.

I believe you are correct Rick - two limos built. And, not to be too nitpicky, the limo pictured is actually a 1950, not a 1949 as I recall. Not that it matters much! Unlike the Sungoddess, the Limos were not factory built. I believe they were done by Armbruster conversion if memory serves me. I'll do some research when I'm back where my "stuff" is.

Your both correct. I forgot they made 2, & it was done by limo service not factory.

Yes.  There were only a few small high white clouds that day, otherwise it was sunshine all the way!

Speaking of Sun Goddess, is that car still extant?  Is so, what kind of condition is it in?

Bill McKivor in Washington state owned the Sun Goddess for years, but he sold it about 6 or 7 years ago. Can't remember who it went to, but yes, it still exists.

Back in the early 60's when I worked in a gas station, John Haller would come by in the evening
with the 51' Frazer and at that time it was yellow and he would have the top down. The next
weekend he would come by in his Kaiser Darrin and it was also yellow and he again would have
the top down. This always caused people to pull in and stare. I loved those cars! In time I was
able to get a 51' Frazer 4 door hardtop and even a pine tint Kaiser Darrin, but never a Frazer
convertible.
