This is not a comment on the correctness of the vehicle.I do not wish to receive the ire resulting from the delicate sensitivity of our Darwin owners.
It is unusual to find apparently intact K medallion covers on the tail light openings. This is in my experience the most difficult to find HJ specific part.

That car has been listed before Jim. I didn't think it looked too bad.
The one that prospective buyers need to research is this one -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Makes-HENRY-J-CORSAIR-?cmd=ViewItem&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D1370621589108157469%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26&_trksid=p5197.m1992&item=180951949215
This one is a Corsair which means it was originally a four cylinder and the features in the pictures indicate it was indeed a four cylinder which was converted to a six - a common modification. Where you run into problems is did the four cylinder have overdrive? If so, it's a simple engine swap and you're done.
If not, you need to either add overdrive (the pictures indicate the car does not have OD) or replace the rearend as the ratio was different in the six cylinder without overdrive. This causes an issue because the 4:55 rearend is geared too low for the six unless you have overdrive. Without it, the car will barely go 50mph. Unless they are planning on doing a custom/streedrod type project, anyone interested in purchasing this car should ask the question "What does the tag on the rearend indicate?" If it's 41/9, that car will be screaming at 50 mph without OD. I know this because we've done it and I've seen it numerous times. Just because a car was a market failure doesn't mean these things won't effect it's driveability. The '53 four cylinders without OD used a 47/11 (4.27) rear end. I don't know how a six without overdrive would do with one of those - perhaps a little better than with a 41/9.

As far as I know, there was no "recommended" top speed for the various rear axles. What I could suggest is looking through the old road tests to see what measured top speeds were with the different drivetrain configurations.
