1953 Willys Aero Lark 4-door for sale
« on: September 05, 2011, 05:42:45 PM »
Yes the running parts car I saved from certain death is for sale. I starts, it runs, it drives, it stops. It just does none of it well. Body is solid surface rust with some algae growing in spots. Floor boards are plywood in the rear and old license plates in front. If you've never owned a junker not worth restoring, now's your chance. I have $800 in it and am open to offers. Someone put an F-head six in here that is painted green which suggests a possible overhaul at some point. Car is located in Atlanta area. I tried to post this with a pic but it wouldn't post so e-mail if you don't want to buy this car sight unseen.

I could use  the truck script (Areo ace) and the "W" (key cover assembly)  and a couple of hubcaps if you want to sell them.  Put a price on the stuff.  Email me if you can and Ill get back to you.    bonsconroy@rogers.com
Thanks

I really do not want to part the car out, I'd rather sell it as is and let the new owner decide what to do with it. As far as the "Aero Ace" script and the hubcaps and trunk "W," I may have some others around. I'll check when I get back from my high school reunion this weekend. Conroy, what year is your Ace so we can make sure you get the right hubcaps for it?

Heres what I got....
An original very solid running 1953 aeroace 4door 161 F head 6cyl.
Im trying tokeep it  original and complete and therefor want to replce the broken or missing items.
Im located in Woodstock Ontario Canada
My truck emblem "W" is broken and so is the aeroace emblem.
I believe the hubcaps I need are the dog dish type with a "W" pressed in.
One other small thing Im missing is  the stainless clip in bottom centre of the rear window trim.

I still would like to find a new owner for this car - make an offer. I fired it up the other day and moved it in and out of my garage. It would make a great rat rod or parts car and an incredibly ambitious restoration. I say fix up the mechaincals and enjoy the patina!

Sold - $500. He's taking the F-head six and 3-speed overdrive tranny for a 1950 Jeepster and he's gonna try to sell the rest to a rat rod guy. There's quite a few of those guys here in Atlanta.
