Kaiser in a Calendar
« on: January 18, 2013, 03:22:35 AM »
My old Kaiser, a 1952 Manhattan Traveler 2-door (not a real one, it was created by Don Rouse many years ago), is now owned by Goran Braun in Sweden. He sent me a copy of the calendar it was in (month is Juni), published by Classic Motor, a Swedish antique car magazine. There will be an article on the car in the Februari 2013 issue. Here is what the calendar had to say about the car, can someone tell me what it means?
"Kaiser Manhattan Traveler, en ovanligt tidig kombicoupe, for aven om amerikanen fran sidan ser ut som en konventionell bil sa ar den inte det."
It goes on but I'm missing some of those funny little markings that are added to many of the Swedish letters. That's Goran driving the car.

Google translate:

"Kaiser Manhattan Traveler, an unusually early hatchback coupe, for even if the American from the side looks like a conventional car said it is not."
