Another Kaiser spotted in a TV show
« on: January 26, 2013, 11:29:44 AM »
I was watching an episode of Adam-12 on Netflix last night. The episoded is called "I Feel Like a Fool, Malloy" from season 1 in 1968. As they arrive to foil a reported robbery attempt, you can clearly see a light blue 1953 Kaiser Manhattan parked across the street.

That show was shot at Universal Studios and I think they used that Kaiser as a prop car in several shows as the Internet Movie Car database shows a picture of one that looks a lot like it on the set of an episode of Andy Griffith. You can also recognize the house that was used in SteelTown (which was also used in many "Movies Of The Week" in the '70s) and many familiar sets used on that show.

You can actually watch it now at

Car is visible at 11:44 (status bar shows 12:52 remaining)

I think there is also a 1953 or 54 (can't recall just now) light blue with dark blue top Kaiser in the movie LA Confidential.
