I would like to fit backup (reversing) light(s) to my Kaiser 1953 Deluxe.

I can buy actual lamps from any number of stores.

Is there a way of wiring the lights so that they come on automatically when I select "reverse"?

(my car has the Hydramatic auto transmission).

The last page of the attachment shows the proper way to wire back-up lights on your car.  These all mounted the same way for 52-55 cars and there's a template as well to help locate the holes you need to drill in your bumper.

Does anyone have a KF 100222 Wiring Kit for Sale? I only really need the Switch Bracket that is used for Manual Transmission. If you have one send me a message and let me know what you want for it.

I have it.  Do you need the tubes that go below it as well?  I had a Hydra transmission so didn't use the parts.

Hmmm- my '53 Manhattan seems to have the correct light, but there is only 1, on the right side. It also is not attached to the bumper, but to the stone shield directly behind, so it ends up in essentially the same place. Was like that when I bought the car in '58- appeared to be a professional installation. Must have been some variations there.

I have fooled around with these B-31's , i found several different versions so be careful buying them . The ones to find that are correct  have a hollow mounting stud that the wire passes through , there is a lot of them out there that the wire go's out the back of the chrome housing . Most of those have the wrong angle on the mounting pedestal to fit the curvature of the bumper and will sit crooked after you bolt them on . These lights were used on all sorts of vehicles including motorcycles .
