Not a bad looking car.  I'd like to  know the VIN as I haven't seen a Corsair Deluxe without a trunk lid in '52. I know only the Corsair (not the Corsair Deluxe) was available without a trunk lid in '53 but according to the handbook, '52 Corsair Deluxe could be ordered without a trunk lid - this would be the first one I've seen if it truly is authentic. I would like to see the tags on this one.  It has the early style overdrive relay which was not used on the Js so it either had OD added or it was replaced. Again, doesn't make it bad, I'd just like to take a closer look. Also the engine has bolt heads on the cylinder head whereas the J originally  had nuts fastening the head on.  It has the rare optional opening rear wing vents. Pretty cool, it will be interesting to see what it goes for.

I looked at the car when he first put it on craigslist, before E bay. He was willing to take $5500.00 a couple months ago with no haggling. I wish I had bough it then. But we are working on 2 right now and this one would have to just sit for quite a while. He started it but, it did not run very well at that time.

I noticed a couple of other things about that car - it has the correct '52 Corsair style hood ornament and it also has the rear wing vent windows which are probably the rarest option for a J. That makes two now for sale now that I've seen recently.
