The Carlisle and Hershey swap meets
« on: October 22, 2007, 04:56:28 PM »
Well, the Fall Carlisle and Hershey swap meets are over for another year.  The weather was great for both meets and only one rainy day at Hershey.  There were lots of members attending but few good parts and fewer cars in the Hershey car show.  I missed a nice K-F yard stick but did find a couple of Kaiser-Willys plant badges and a couple of pieces of literature that were strangers to me.  There were a few single Kaiser wheel covers but I did not see very many desirable parts.  I do not know how many members were in attendance but wouldn't it be great if we could all meet for dinner someplace during Hershey week?  Several other car clubs make a dinner meeting a fun part of the meet and we could too.  Any ideas?   Gordie

Thanks Dave.  I guess we would not need to hold a meeting but just meet someplace for dinner until we see how popular the idea is.  There is a great Chinese buffet in a shopping center near the swap meet that has lots of tables and plenty of parking that would probably work well or if you know of a better place I am open to any ideas.  How about it guys?

Always up for a little Chinese buffet.............meeting up sounds like a great idea.  We should definitely bring this topic up again next year so that we can meet up there.  Count me in!

Great,  I will bring it up again a couple of months before Hershey next year.  I know that several of the members are regulars there and I am sure that they would like to join in too and if not the three of us will have a super dinner!
