Looking for the 1951 Kaiser Shop Manual

Thanks so much for the fast response!  Appreciate that info.  I still wouldn't mind a hard copy as my printer is a joke and it's great to have the reference material at hand.   I have an unrestored '54 Manhattan S/N 542 004883 that is quite intact with the Supercharger. After installing a carb kit from Willow Run  it seems to run reasonably well and the Supercharger appears to be working OK.  I plan to go over it mechanically in the coming weeks and drive it locally.

Martyn, you may have read elsewhere that the club will be holding our national convention in the Seattle area in two weeks. If you're only 100 miles away, stop by the show. Thursday is show day and would be your best chance at seeing all of the cars in one place and meeting the owners...any one of whom can answer most any KF question you throw at them. And, you can join the club right on the spot!

1954-55 Kaisers should have the 1954 green/black cover Kaiser Parts  List.  This is non-illustrated but includes part numbers for the 1954 early & late specials along with the Manhattan.  You also need the Supercharger manual (red/grey cover) put out by Willys Motors and if you have one so equipped, the Kaiser-Frazer Power Steering manual.

Kaiser-Willys put out the service information specific to 1954-55 Kaisers in the form of Service Bulletins that do tie back to the 1951 Kaiser Shop manual and 1952-53 supplement to the manual for various things still carried over from 1951 such as frame information.

KFOCI Club Members already have the 1954-55 Service Bulletins on KFOCI HANDBOOK Version 5.0.  The Handbook is on a CD and is a perk for joining the club.  Being on the forum does not make you a member of the club.

Thanks Mike - not sure how things will work out for that weekend at this point.  Anyway, I am now officially a brand new member, having joined on-line  a few minutes ago.  The response here has been very supportive!

As a side note it's a shame the upcoming meet was not here in Vancouver, Canada.  I was  fascinated to read  that H.J' Kaiser actually got his real start in business right here.  He borrowed a fair chunk of money from a Canadian bank and set up his corporate office here, building roads.  Interestingly, many years later his Grandson lived here and was involved with the B.C. Government.  A small claim to fame to be sure, but we'll take what we can get.  Cheers,  Martyn

Yes, Edgar F. Kaiser Jr. was a member of KFOC. He was also the owner of the Denver Broncos for a time, as well as an accomplished musician. He settled the estate of the late singer John Denver. Unfortunately, he passed away in January of 2012.
I have the Henry J he owned which was built for his father Edgar Kaiser Sr.

Henry J Kaiser's other grandson, Henry Kaiser, is a well known and accomplished guitarist.
