« on: August 12, 2014, 08:38:09 PM »
I have an NOS set (4) of Ventshades brand of vent shades just like were used on the Kaisers except the Model is G6.  Can anyone help with the application??  The label is gone from the end of the box.   Thanks.  ???

Kaiser-Frazer offered vent shades in six different sets.  Because your set comes with four shades that eliminates the Kaiser business coupes and Henry J's so yours might fit the '47-'50 K-F sedans or the '51-'55 coupes, two or four door sedans.  Vent shades were also made for most other popular makes of cars.  Kaiser's part numbers probably won't match the numbers stamped under the vent shades.  Vent shades did not appear in the K-F accessory price lists until the Nov. 15, 1950 issue but were introduced with Parts and Accessory Bulletin 114 dated Oct. 26, 1949.  Technically they were not available on Kaiser-Frazer cars until late 1949.  Maybe someone here has an old price list from the manufacturer.

Thanks Gorie.  I know the 51-55 4 door sedans used the K16's and that's what I have on my 54.   The 2 door coupes used the K11 (4 pieces) and the 2 door business couple used the K5 (2 pieces).

Just need to hopefully find out what these G6's go to!!!  Yes, if someone had an old Ventshades (brand name) Catalog, that would be awesome.

If the K on the number means Kaiser perhaps the G means General Motors.  Your set may fit one of the three GM bodies from 1941 thru 1948 or 1949 thru 1952.  Try taking your set to a car show and I'll bet that you would find a match there and perhaps a buyer for them too.  They look nice on the car.  Good luck!
