Hi all,
Thanks a lot for your inputs, that's really helpful. I will install the Ford unit and let you know how it works.
Good day to all

Some Ford OD solenoids have two wires coming out of them as opposed to two terminals with bolts as the KF ones do so make sure it is not the type with the wires (leads) coming out.

Besides the service information in the Kaiser-Frazer Shop Manual (you would use the 1951 Kaiser & Frater book rather than the 1952-53 Kaiser Supplement to that book for overdrive stuff) the Borg-Warner generic manual is found on the KFOCI HANDBOOK CD as a public domain document (the compryght that is required to be printed in the document is imperfect). All new members to the KFOCI (NOT the Forum only) get the CD as a perk for joining the club. They are not for sale by the club. Current version is still 5.0.
