Dark green, the same as a 51 Kaiser.

What about the 47 Frazer Manhattan?  And, where is a good place to get engine paint?

All 1947 and 48 Kaiser and Frazer engines were a medium grey. As long as the surface is clean and grease free, any good paint will hold...it does not need to be heat resistant. I painted the engine in my 50K, which is the same grey (1bbl engines were grey, 2bbl were light green), using Duplicolor Medium Grey.

What about the brackets; like for the generator and air cleaner.  Is the thermostat housing gray or black?  What about the water pump and vibration damper?  I think the radiator support rods are suppose to be black, at least that's what I've painted them.  Is the steering column black or the color of the car? (under the hood.)  It looks as though all vent ducting is suppose to be black.  Are the inte-rfenders suppose to be black or the color of the car?  I'm working on these issues a little at a time.  Waiting until Spring to pull the engine.

The water pump, pulley, thermostat housing, vibrations damper and transmission are all engine color. The distributor adapter, the half that mounts to the head, is engine color as well. The generator bracket, fan blade, and clutch inspection pan are black, as is the radiator, surround, inner fenders and distributor body.
