We are really sorry to hear that.  Ed was a long time member #161 and owned the only surviving '51 Kaiser convertible that we have enjoyed seeing for so many years.

Ed was quite a character. As mentioned, he owned a 51K convertible and really enjoyed showing it to all of his KF friends. He and I had a long talk at a national meet many years ago about the club and how it grew. I am glad we had the chance to talk. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear this.  I did not know Ed but I (as so many others) knew his car.  I saw it at Sweetwater, TN in 2012

Ed also restored a Wills-St Claire several years ago. Lew Retzer (who was close to Ed) has seen it many times. He may have sent me a pic - if I find it, I'll scan it. He also had many other cars and could fix absolutely anything. Lew also spoke with Ed towards the end about the story of the '51 Kaiser convertible. Hopefully, Lew will get the time to write it up some day.

Ed found it for sale in Southern California.  I wished that I had seen it!  It is a really special car and Ed gave it a great home for many years and it looks now like when he first found it.
