That's great to hear--not that your wife's car was wrecked, but that the Kaiser is performing admirably--they really were built to better the best!

I drove a 51 Kaiser as our family car for almost 20 years from Dec, 1980 to Jan, 2000. Had 58,000 miles when I got and 291,000 miles when I quit driving it. I maintained it rather carefully and got a lot out of it. We live in Az and it was hot to ride in during the summer. The car did fine, but I did my share of sweating.
