Dual master Cylinder?

Now that I've got the front of my car off, back to the firewall, I see there's a wedge of frame in which the m/c sits.  Doesn't look like there's enough room for a dual set up.  Wondering if anyone has tried it?
 
Years ago I had a '58 chebby and had to do a panic stop.  Brake line ruptured and pedal went to the floor, producing a shall we say "trouser chili" moment.  From then on I've become more concerned about stopping than going and every car I've owned since, I have replumbed the lines and installed a dual system.  Was hoping there might be hope for my '54.

If you can't find a way to retrofit a dual master cylinder, I'd say the second best alternative would be to inspect the rubber lines every few months. A brake line rupture often will be preceded by a bubble or other obvious defect in the rubber. Same goes for rusty looking steel lines. If you see anything questionable, replace it.

You might like to take a look at one of these. They go in a tight fit and are remote fill. I installed one but not a dual in a Henry J.

Did you get a kit with a conversion bracket, like this one on kaiserwillys.com?
