GENE MEYER AND HIS DARRIN
« on: September 24, 2015, 06:36:33 PM »
I saw this article and called Gene to congratulate him.
He returned thanks to me for all that I provided for his restoration.
Since he is not internet savvy, I am posting this on his behalf.
I know that many of you have known Gene for many years.

ENJOY

I could not get to the article and/or pictures.   I did  see the reporter sitting next to a Darrin, so I assume it is Mr. Meyers car.

I hope we get to see it.

Thanx for posting, Terry. Good luck to Gene and Susie. ALS, commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease, is a horrible, debilitating disease. One of my best friends, Tom Elliott, an ex-KFOC member and active Studebaker Club member had ALS which eventually took him four years ago at the age of 55. Tom was at the National in Grand Island several years ago and said hello for me by proxy to most of my friends. I was helping Tom restore his 1951 Studebaker Champion business coupe within months of his death. A brave man and a true hero - he volunteered himself for spinal cord stem cell research once he lost the ability to walk and donated his spinal cord and brain for research after he died. Any support that anyone can give to the ALS Association is helpful. http://www.alsa.org/
