Calendar pictures are selected by the printer from photos taken at the last National Meet by the official photographer.

Since the new calendar editor had no pictures of his own it was decided to honor the members who came to the National meet with pictures of their cars and that was the way the 2015 and 2016 calendar was made and that is the plan for 2017.  I am sure that if he had enough people sending in good images he could change his mind about the format.

I do like the new calendars, but it seems that the picture quality the last two years has not been as good as in the past.  Is this due to paper quality, low pixelation?  I am not an expert.

I think that the picture quality is the same but there are more images on each page and there are no more scenic scenes as sent from members. There are larger views on the covers.  All of our publications are done with much hard work from really dedicated volunteers and they certainly need a pat on the back for doing such a fine job for us.

Yes, I agree that they are great, as are the bulletins, etc.  I'm no expert in photography, either, I was just wondering.

Lee Abraham's pics are as fine as anyone can take.
He is relentless in making sure everything is documented.
He selfishly provides a disc with all his pics to anyone that asks.
I, and all of those in the Club, should thank and commend him.....thanks Lee!!

It was decided last year that the winners of awards at the National would be honored in the calendar.
Lee's documentation suffices for these needed pics.

If one wants their pic in the calendar, come to a National and win an award.

If one wants the accepted procedure changed, then that subject should be submitted to the officers for consideration at a future National.

In the mean time, for those that continually submit pics in this forum for submission in the calendar are in denial of reality and should "move on".

This is a nice reward for bringing a car to the National.  Great job by all involved.

The calendar editor is permitted to choose the theme. So, the 2017 edition may well include members and their cars instead of exclusively pictures from the national meet. But again, it's their prerogative. Post your pictures but don't be disappointed if they don't make the cut.
